Our client’s developer team required expert support in the field of Graphics Engine Solutions and development process organization for the automotive industry.

The Polish branch of an international company was searching for a partner with competencies allowing to develop software in C and utilize the Graphics Engine Solutions technology. The partner’s task was to support the client’s teams developing software for head-up displays (HUD) used in luxury cars by British, Japanese, German, and Swedish manufacturers.

Expanding the client’s teams by an expert in Graphics Engine Solutions.

The client’s team was expanded by our specialist with experience in the automotive industry and Graphics Engine Solutions. These competencies, together with rich experience in producing embedded software proved necessary for developing the required safety-critical software. His knowledge and skill filled gaps in the client’s team competence but also provided consulting support, such as recommendations for processes and activities facilitating the development of the HUD software. At the same time, the Solwit team adopted the internal work culture established by the client, based on certain tools and internal processes.

the effect

More than a dozen functionalities in the GDC (Graphics Display Controller) setup were implemented, a new prototype of the device was launched and given to the client, architecture was reviewed, and requirement tracking underwent an update.

In cooperation with the client, Solwit developed chosen functionalities for the HUD platform. We also took part in creating the architecture for certain functionalities and launching the new solution prototype. Within the development works an architecture for modules was created, along with the development facilitating scripts, and requirement tracking for the entire project was updated. All procedures used during this work were properly documented.
